Primary effects
- Hops may provide mild sedation and promote sleep, with some users reporting appetite stimulation and anxiety reduction, although effects are often subtle and disputed.
Peak character
- Users report feeling relaxed and calm, sometimes accompanied by a flushed sensation or mild light-headedness; effects are generally mild and not intoxicating.
Negatives / side effects
- Smoking hops can be harsh on the throat, and oral consumption via tea can be very bitter and unpalatable.
