Primary effects
- Oxycodone is an opioid medication used to treat moderate to severe pain, providing a gentle bubble of warm tranquility and a slight sense of numbness.
- It induces a mellow-headedness, reduces anxiety, and promotes relaxation.
Peak character
- The peak is a pleasant, gentle experience, described as a 'bubble of warm tranquility' with an undeniable uplift, but not euphoric.
Negatives / side effects
- High risk of overdose and addiction; it ranked #1 in drug overdose deaths mentioning specific drugs in 2011.
- Do not mix with alcohol, other medicines, or grapefruit (a potentiator).
- Snorting greatly increases dose sensitivity and risk; a 40mg pill is dangerous for non-tolerant users.
- Potential side effects include dizziness and nausea, particularly as the effects wear off.
Aftereffects / comedown
- As effects wane, a comfortable zone transitions to potential dizziness and mild queasiness.
- The comedown can involve feeling exhausted and 'down about everything'.

Adulterant detection: CRITICAL: Counterfeit oxycodone pills (fake 'M30' tablets) are one of the primary vectors for fentanyl poisoning deaths. Fentanyl strip testing is a priority.
Oxycodone has a distinct Mecke reaction (less intensely blue than morphine/heroin) which can help distinguish it, but fentanyl strips are the critical safety test for any pressed pill.
