Experience
Primary effects
- Mild anxiolytic response and a gentle calmness, reducing stomach anxiety and promoting a relaxed state.
- Induces a slight fuzziness and a chilled, heady feeling without significant intoxication or euphoria.
Peak character
- A soothing headiness, retaining mental clarity and functionality, distinct from being 'stoned'.
Negatives / side effects
- Potential for harshness when smoked; overdoing it with higher quality skullcap might lead to more intense sedation.
Aftereffects / comedown
- Effects gradually subside, but a sense of calmness persists, followed by potential for strange dreams and lingering headiness into the next morning.
Reagent testing
Adulterant detection: Scutellaria lateriflora. No standard drug reagent test. Historic adulteration with germander (hepatotoxic) is documented.
Source from reputable supplier with species authentication; germander adulteration has caused liver damage.
