Primary effects
- A heady, relaxed feeling with anxieties dissipated and an overall sense of comfort and warmth.
- Causes slight dry mouth and possibly flushed, glassy eyes.
- Can lead to reduced hunger.
Peak character
- Dazed comfort zone with a slight uplift, accompanied by a desire for more intensity.
- Speed of thought may slow down.
Negatives / side effects
- Risk of seizure at doses over 300mg, especially for non-tolerant or smaller users.
- Common side effects include constipation, itchiness, nausea, decreased alertness, and dizziness.
- Serious side effects include seizures, increased risk of serotonin syndrome, and drug addiction.
Aftereffects / comedown
- After the main effects subside, a calm, dreamy, and restful afterglow may persist.
- Next day may involve slight fogginess and some lingering tiredness.

Adulterant detection: Synthetic opioid — less intense Marquis reaction than morphine/heroin. Counterfeit tramadol pills with fentanyl substitution has been documented.
Fentanyl strip recommended for illicit-market pills. Tramadol also has a seizure risk at high doses — testing for opioid-class is valuable.
