Primary effects
- Gentle drowsiness and subtle sedation.
- Mild anxiolytic undercurrent, promoting relaxation.
Peak character
- A drowsy, relaxing lethargy, feeling weary but relaxed.
Negatives / side effects
- Possible headache with higher doses or overuse.
- May not significantly improve sleep quality or onset for everyone.
Aftereffects / comedown
- Lingering comfort and relaxation the following morning.
- Can still feel slightly sedated later, but may struggle to fall asleep effectively.
Reagent testing
Adulterant detection: Valeriana officinalis — valerenic acid. No standard drug reagent test.
Low risk botanical sedative.
